I was moving at a snail\u2019s pace for sure. Once we reached the top of the first pass it was amazing. I survived and didn\u2019t quit! (The thought actually crossed my mind-) It was very very hot and we started on a steep incline of switch backs without shade or the slightest hint of leveling off for a long time- once we hit the top it became real to me and I took a moment to shed some happy tears.<\/p>\n
